Pros

Cons

Quick verdict: Who should consider OneMoneyWay?

OneMoneyWay could be worth considering if your company receives or sends cross-border payments, needs local Nordic payment details, or values having international payment and currency capabilities through one platform. The ability to apply remotely may appeal to UK- or EEA-incorporated companies operating across markets.

It is not automatically the lowest-cost option for a company making a few local Danish payments. It is also not equivalent to a Danish bank account with deposit-guarantee protection, lending and a complete domestic banking relationship. If NemKonto, particular payment formats or financing are essential, verify them before applying.

Our editorial verdict: Compare OneMoneyWay alongside licensed banks and other international payment specialists. Choose it only if its quoted total cost, supported payment methods and regulated partner meet your requirements.

OneMoneyWay pricing and plans: What does it cost in Denmark?

The Danish pricing page advertises three plans. All three subscription prices are shown per month but billed annually. The same page states an extra DKK 99 per month for issuing local business accounts in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Prices are indicative, not guaranteed quotations.
Feature Micro Starter Business
Advertised subscription DKK 249/month DKK 499/month DKK 899/month
Subscription billed Annually Annually Annually
Listed Danish accounts 1 Up to 3 Up to 5
Virtual cards 1 2 Unlimited
Transaction-fee tier Higher Lower Lowest stated tier
Support Live chat Live chat + phone Priority phone + dedicated manager
Accounting automation Not listed Listed Listed
Multi-user login / dual approval Not listed Not listed Listed

Indicative 12-month subscription cost

Plan Subscription for 12 months One advertised local-account surcharge for 12 months Illustrative combined amount
Micro DKK 2,988 DKK 1,188 DKK 4,176
Starter DKK 5,988 DKK 1,188 DKK 7,176
Business DKK 10,788 DKK 1,188 DKK 11,976

How to read this table: It combines the published plan price with a single advertised local-account surcharge. It does not assume the surcharge covers every account included in Starter or Business. Whether the fee is charged per account, per product or otherwise must be confirmed. Opening fees, transfers, FX, cards outside the allowance, taxes and other charges are excluded. Ask for a quote before making a decision.

Is there a OneMoneyWay account-opening fee?

An account-opening or onboarding charge may apply depending on your company and chosen services. The public Danish pricing page does not establish one universal opening price for every applicant. Do not rely on an informal fee estimate: ask OneMoneyWay to confirm the exact one-time fee, whether it is refundable if the application is rejected, what triggers billing and whether there is a minimum contract term.

Why transaction fees matter more than the headline price

A business receiving 20 international payments per month can have a very different total cost from one receiving two domestic transfers. Request prices for incoming and outgoing DKK, EUR, SEK, GBP and USD payments; SWIFT charges; intermediary-bank fees; card transactions; FX margins; and any charge for returning or investigating payments. The plan description says higher tiers have lower transaction fees but does not show every rate in the headline comparison.

What services and features does OneMoneyWay offer?

1. Danish and other local business payment accounts

OneMoneyWay advertises a Danish local account solution and accounts associated with Sweden, Norway and other markets. Check the precise legal provider of each account, whether the account has dedicated local details, the ability to receive payments from third parties, and which domestic clearing networks it supports. A local account number is not a promise that every feature of a bank account is available.

2. Cross-border payments and foreign exchange

The provider advertises payments using SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments, US ACH and Nordic payment rails, with FX services covering 35+ currencies through partners. Availability varies by customer, currency, corridor and partner. Before using it for payroll or supplier settlement, check transaction limits, expected settlement time, cut-off times and the exchange-rate margin.

3. Corporate cards and payment controls

Micro advertises one virtual corporate card; Starter lists two; Business lists unlimited virtual cards. Ask whether physical cards are available for your account, which currencies are supported, and what card issue, replacement, FX and cash-withdrawal charges apply. The Business tier additionally advertises multi-user access and dual payment approval, which may be important for companies with approval policies.

4. Invoicing and accounting workflows

All three plans describe access to an invoicing module. Starter and Business additionally list automated bookkeeping to accounting software and automatic invoice payments. Confirm which accounting products are actually integrated in your market and whether integrations create additional costs.

Is OneMoneyWay safe and regulated?

This is one of the most important questions in the review. OneMoneyWay is not a bank. Its website says regulated financial services are provided by partner institutions. The identity of the contracting institution matters because this determines the legal agreement, permitted services, complaints process and customer-fund protection.

The OneMoneyWay Danish website identifies EPMAP Limited, a Cyprus-registered electronic money institution authorised by the Central Bank of Cyprus (licence 115.1.3.32/2021), in relation to e-money services in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Romania and Poland. Its published disclosures also identify B4B Payments entities for certain account and payment services, and Shift4 for some acquiring services. The actual partner applicable to a customer should be confirmed in the contract.

Are funds covered by a bank deposit guarantee?

Do not assume so. Money held through an electronic money institution is normally subject to safeguarding rules rather than the bank-deposit compensation scheme that applies to eligible bank deposits. Ask who holds funds, how they are safeguarded, whether they are segregated and which insolvency and complaints procedures would apply.

For businesses retaining substantial operating balances, this distinction can influence whether a conventional bank should remain the primary treasury account.

Eligibility and application: Who can open an account?

OneMoneyWay states that it considers eligible companies incorporated in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom. Acceptable sectors, ownership structures, transaction corridors and risk profiles are assessed individually. Incorporation in a supported country does not guarantee approval.

Typical application documents

How the process typically works

OneMoneyWay states that many accounts can be opened within 24-72 hours once the required documents have been received. Treat this as a provider estimate, not a guaranteed time-to-account.

Does OneMoneyWay work with Danish NemKonto?

Do not assume that a Danish account number means automatic NemKonto registration. Denmark’s official NemKonto guidance permits eligible regulated institutions, including certain EU/EEA e-money institutions, but accounts held via institutions that cannot register NemKonto directly may require the company’s own application to the Danish authorities. The official guidance for a foreign institution currently indicates an 8-10 week processing period.

Before opening an account for Danish payroll, tax refunds or public payments, ask OneMoneyWay which institution issues the account and whether it can be designated as a company NemKonto. Seek written confirmation and follow the official NemKonto process.

Customer reviews: What should you make of them?

Third-party review platforms provide useful signals, but they are not proof of product quality for a particular company. At the time of this review, Trustpilot displayed approximately 4.4/5 from 472 OneMoneyWay reviews. Feedback included positive experiences with support and opening local accounts, alongside complaints about fees, refund or billing disputes and onboarding communications.

Reviews are self-selected, experiences may differ by country and partner, and ratings change. Read recent critical as well as positive reviews. More importantly, request written pricing, refund and termination conditions before paying a non-refundable fee.

OneMoneyWay vs a traditional bank vs another fintech

Decision factor OneMoneyWay Licensed traditional bank Alternative payment specialist
Core value Local/cross-border payment access via regulated partners Deposits, domestic banking and potentially credit Digital payments and FX, depending on provider
Lending or overdraft Not presented as a standard bank product May be offered after underwriting Often limited or absent
Deposit guarantee Not automatically applicable to e-money May apply to eligible deposits Depends on licence and safeguarding model
Danish local payment details Advertised, subject to approval Often offered to eligible local customers Product-specific
International payments A central proposition Usually available, fee structures vary Often a central proposition
Pricing certainty Obtain a tailored full quote Published package plus usage fees Varies widely
If your company needs a loan, local cash services, deposit coverage or guaranteed access to a particular domestic scheme, compare a bank first. If international payments and currencies are the main requirement, request written offers from OneMoneyWay and other regulated specialists, then compare total operating cost.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is OneMoneyWay a bank?
No. OneMoneyWay describes itself as a financial platform. Regulated financial services are supplied by licensed partner institutions.
The Danish page advertises Micro at DKK 249, Starter at DKK 499 and Business at DKK 899 per month, billed annually. Indicative pricing and additional charges apply.
It advertises an additional DKK 99/month charge for issuing local business accounts in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, billed annually. Confirm how it applies to your specific quote and number of accounts.
No universal opening fee is publicly established on the plan table. Request a written quote showing setup charges and refund conditions.
OneMoneyWay says it supports eligible businesses incorporated in the EEA or UK, subject to business and compliance checks.
It advertises Danish local business account details. Ask which regulated partner issues them and which domestic payment features work for your business.
The provider advertises FX and payment capabilities across 35+ currencies via partners, subject to the specific account and payment corridor.
Do not assume e-money balances are bank deposits. Confirm the actual account provider and applicable safeguarding arrangements before depositing funds.
It may be possible to use an eligible regulated-institution account, but it is not automatic. Check the exact account and official registration route with NemKonto.
The provider cites 24-72 hours for many applications after complete documentation, but complex compliance cases can take longer and approval is not assured.
Its plan pages list virtual corporate cards. Ask about physical-card availability, charges and country restrictions rather than assuming they are included.
Not necessarily. Its subscription and local-account charges can exceed some basic bank packages before transfer and onboarding fees. Compare full-year total cost for your payment volumes.
Consider it when cross-border payments or local account details across countries matter. Choose only after confirming contract terms, eligibility and the relevant regulated partner.

Conclusion: Is OneMoneyWay worth considering in 2026?

OneMoneyWay has a coherent proposition for eligible European and UK businesses handling local and international payments. Its Danish pricing is visible at a plan level, and the additional local-account charge is also disclosed. The important unknowns are your individual opening quote, transfer and foreign-exchange fees, exact functionality and the legal provider of your account.

Our recommendation: Treat OneMoneyWay as a payments and account platform to compare, not a universal substitute for a traditional bank. Request a full written offer, understand the safeguarding arrangements and check all must-have payment services before applying.
